In celebration of the Fall 2023 release of the CRTc’s Resistant Knowledges Call for Papers, the collective hosted our first live onsite event in London, The Resistant Knowledges Gathering. The event was held on Monday (30 – October) in London’s west end at the landmark pub, The Blue Anchor (1772). This intimate setting ideally suited the community energy of the CRTc as well as the context for the Call for Papers. The guests who attended reflect the global intentions of the collective; and was held during the 2023 Association of Information Science & Technology annual conference (ASIS&T).
Our special guests and event presenters were the dynamic partnership of Dr. Gabriella Beckles-Raymond and Phillip Beckles-Raymond. Gaby is an independent interdisciplinary philosopher, writer, educator, wife, mother, sister, friend, basketball coach, and Co-CEO of EQBR. Raymond is a creative, anti-disciplinary economist and transgressive educator who practices the art of transforming society through the harnessing of creative energies.
Their audience engaging interactive presentation was entitled, Carnival, Liv Good and
